As for our fees, we charge an hourly rate dependent upon what type of case it is and the hourly rate has an addition of VAT of 20%.

However, we also carry out fixed fee work, especially for trials which include the cost of the barrister, VAT, travel and some other out of pocket disbursements.

Sometimes a fixed fee is agreed, but then a decision is made to involve another expert that had not previously been thought about or agreed upon.

In those circumstances, the extra fee, plus any necessary VAT becomes chargeable as an extra to the fixed fee.

If you have been refused Legal Aid on an income basis and have a trial and are successful, you can recover some costs from the Court Central Fund which equates to something in the region of 15% to 20% of your gross outlay.

We do not draft such bills, but outsource the drafting of the bill for a fee of £250 plus VAT for the draftsman, but we do not take a fee at all.

We DO NOT take any cash payments.  All payments are to be paid by debit or credit card and we absorb any banking fees association with such payments.

Prior to instructing us, a Terms and Conditions document and a Letter of Engagement will be sent to you which will include hourly rates for your particular case which will give you an opportunity to consider whether you want to instruct us.
